Classic Riverfront Architecture in Essex, Connecticut
Set along the Connecticut River, Riverbend Essex is a classic pool and guest house designed to feel as though it has always belonged to its site. The architecture draws from traditional New England accessory buildings, camps, and waterfront structures, with careful attention to scale, proportion, and material authenticity.

Interiors
Inside, the design continues the same spirit of understated craftsmanship. Light-filled spaces, natural materials, and thoughtful proportions create an inviting retreat that supports poolside living, guest accommodations, and easy connection to the landscape.

White-painted novelty siding, custom-milled in a slightly wider profile, gives the exterior a timeless rhythm. Deep green accents reinforce the classic coastal palette, while a base of hand-selected river jack stone and thick granite sills grounds the building with texture, permanence, and a sense of age.

The result is a refined riverfront retreat—quietly elegant, highly detailed, and deeply connected to its Essex setting.
